Call talk radio shows
to let listeners know what you think. Getting Democratic voices onto the conservative-controlled airwaves is a must. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) gives you the numbers to call and talking points to use. Or, if you have a favorite local radio show, call it, and then
let us know about it so we can recommend the show to others.
Devote a half-hour at your desk
Write letters
to media across the country- the perfect way to express approval of or disdain for the news and views of the day. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) makes it simple. To get issue specific talking points: click on an issue, then enter your zip code. Your letter is emailed automatically.
Devote an hour at a computer
Make Calls anytime, anywhere as long
as you have access to the internet and a phone. Use
Moveon.org's phone
program to call voters in crucial districts all across the country. You can
make one or one hundred calls, and take breaks as often as you like. Their
program is user-friendly and proven to work, so get started today.

Devote a couple weekday hours
Knock on doors and talk to voters with District 97 State House
candidate Ruth Sale. She'll be going door-to-door every Monday,
Tuesday, and Friday. Give her a call or send her an email to help out:

Call voters
while enjoying great company.
Raj Goyle's campaign for the State House in District 87
runs phone banks every night from 4:30-7:30 PM. Call the campaign
to learn more and get involved: 681-8133. There's plenty of other work
to do as well, for those who don't like making calls. |

Devote a Saturday
Walk door-to-door
with State House candidate Walt Chappell to help him
spread his message. The campaigning begins at 9AM on Saturday morning.

call his campaign manager Jeff Wicks (945-9904). No experience
necessary- they'll train you and provide materials. |

Help take back the country.

Start your own group.
If you're looking for an excuse to get together with other Democrats, then consider forming a progressive book group, starting a liberal knitting group, sponsoring a letter-writing party, or coming up with your own idea. These groups are easy to start and fun to be a part of.
