Whether you are in Australia, America or China, are, if you are heading to Vietnam for a holiday, it is now easier than ever to reach by car, train or plane. Here are your options:
ROAD
From Cambodia: There is a road that crosses Moc Bai (Tay Ninh province 80km from Saigon) connecting Phnom Penh in Cambodia with Saigon. Several companies now operate a direct bus service between the two cities, departing every city in the morning.
There is also a crossroadsChau Doc in Vietnam (245 km from Saigon), the boat decent. Boats leave Phnom Penh (per day) in early afternoon arrival in Chau Doc (Vietnam) at 6:00. The return trip leaving early in the morning. Buses run from Chau Doc to Ho Chi Minh City (7h)
From Laos: There is a road that runs through Lao Bao in Quang Tri province, about 160 km northwest of Hue to Savannakhet link to the center of Vietnam. Another way in Vietnam is about Cau Treo, Ha Tinh province. Manytravel agencies for bus passengers, times vary.
From China on 03 routes crossing in Ha Khau are (Lao Cai province), Dong Dang (Lang Son Province) and Mong Cai (Quang Ninh Province). These limits can close on time, with the warning.
BOAT
There are no normal sea crossings into Vietnam although an increasing number of cruise ships sail into Vietnamese waters. The only other international connection by boat is the Mekong River Crossingfrom Phnom Penh to Chau Doc (see above).
TRAIN
There are rail links between China and Vietnam. A street of Nanning Beijing, crossing to Lang Son and from Kunming to stop travel of Lao Cai, Hanoi both services.
AIR
Vietnam currently has three international airports:
· We Bai in Hanoi and is in the north
· Danang International Airport serving the centralProvinces
· TAN Son Nhat in Ho Chi Minh City are in the south.
The national carrier Vietnam Airlines service connecting the U.S., UK, Australia, Europe and many Asian countries in Vietnam. A growing number of international airlines fly to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Low-cost airline Tiger Air and Air Asia has flights from $ 25USD/exl taxes from Bangkok and Singapore in Hanoi / HCMC.
At the start, Vietnam, all visitors pay $ 14USDfor the departure tax. This is due at the airport after check-in
